Bank of Texas chairman to be inducted into Texas Bankers Hall of Fame
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Mark M. Johnson, chairman of Central Texas for Bank of Texas, will be inducted into the Texas Bankers Hall of Fame.
Johnson joined Bank of Texas in June 2023, when the bank expanded into the San Antonio market. It was the bank’s first expansion outside its established operations in Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.
“Mark has spent a career building trust with clients and helping strengthen Texas communities,” said Mark Wade, CEO of Bank of Texas. “We’re proud to see him recognized with this honor.” Established at Sam Houston State University, the hall of fame honors bankers who have made significant contributions to the profession and helped shape banking in Texas. Johnson will be recognized at the 13th annual gala on April 23, 2026.
